Julia Brown, a Weichert Realtor since 1987, plans and plants the gardens that adorn the front entrance to their building on South Main Street in the Town of Clinton. It all started five years ago when her son suggested she plant some flowers there. He cleared an area and that was the beginning of extending her interest in gardening from her home to her workplace. Every year the display gets larger and more beautiful. This year it was so stunning that Brown was awarded Country Garden Club's Random Acts of Beauty Certificate.

When a member of the Club sees an outstanding garden, he or she takes a picture and emails it to the nomination committee. The garden can be at a private home or a business. If approved for an award, the owner is contacted and a sign is placed on the property and remains there for two weeks and a certificate is presented to the caretaker of the garden.
